What are the steps to complete my application? 

You need to fill out the online form, submit resume and coding/design portfolio, and then proceed to the Online Test (only for non Apple Developer Academy Indonesia alumni).

What do I need to prepare to register? 

You must prepare your resume and coding/design portfolio for submission.

Can I apply without submitting resume or portfolio?

No, all documents are mandatory to proceed to the Online Test.

What is the selection process?

The selection process includes Online Test and Online Interview.

What language is the test in?

The test is in Bahasa Indonesia.

I’m an Apple Developer Academy alumni — do I still need to take the online test?

No, the online test is only required for non-Apple Developer Academy Indonesia alumni. If you’re an alumni, you’ll just need to complete the online registration and join a 1-on-1 interview session.

When will the Online Test take place?

The test will be sent via email 1-2 weeks after the application batch closes. Check your email regularly.

What happens if I miss the Online Test?

You cannot continue with your application and must reapply next cohort.

How is the Interview conducted?

The interview will be conducted online.
The interview will assess your creativity, inquisitive learning, collaboration, communication, and motivation.

What is a Portfolio?

A Portfolio showcases your best work or projects as evidence of your passion and skills. You may submit up to five projects that highlight your abilities—this could include sample code, illustrations, or other relevant creative or technical work. Your Portfolio helps us assess your expertise and abilities. Please check the Resume & Portfolio requirements here.

Is the program conducted online or offline?

The program will be conducted onsite (offline) at Apple Developer Academy @Infinite Learning, Batam, with an extended online program from January to June 2026.

How long is the program?

The program will be conducted for 12 months (6+6), where learners must attend the Studio for the first 6 months, from April 6th 2026 to October 6th 2026, Learners must commit to full-day, on-site learning (Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:30 WIB). The second program (online) will start from November 2nd 2026 to April 30th 2027.

Is the Games Institute program free?

Yes, the program is completely free of charge. There are no application fees, administration fees, or monthly fees.

Is there an age limit to apply?

There is no maximum age limit; however, applicants must be at least 18 years old by the time the program starts.

Can I enroll in the Games Institute without an Apple device? 

Like the academy, the institute offers full scholarships, stipends, housing, and equipment for all participants.

Can I join if I’ve never made a game before? 

Yes, you don’t need prior experience in making game to join. We welcome participants from different backgrounds — as long as you meet the following criteria:

All game creators aged 18 and above with coding experience
Coders with an interest in games
Designers: Have experience in illustration

If I’m not fluent in English, is that a problem?

No, you’ll have opportunities to improve your English while collaborating with others in the program.

Can I discontinue my participation in the program?

The program requires full commitment. Dropping out midway is discouraged.

What will I learn during the program?

The curriculum includes:

Game Design
Professional skills

Will I receive a certificate after graduation?

Yes, graduates receive a certificate of completion.
